High school-based musicals are everywhere -- TV movies, feature films, reality shows. And now, Fox is taking it to the next level with an hour-long primetime scripted series! (How was this not thought of sooner?!) Glee focuses on a high school Spanish teacher at an Ohio high school who takes over the school's glee club. The characters are said to include the usual suspects: a "diva-in-training, a nerdy soprano, and a quarterback who tries to stay cool while singing." As for the musical content, each eppie will include at least three complete songs. Fox must be serious about the show's success, too -- it's being considered for a slot following American Idol!
