Paris Hilton may have done it first, but is Nicole Richie out to do her one better? Now that The Simple Life is up in the air for this season, whispers are circulating that Nic might have acting aspirations that put her smack dab in the middle of Newport -- as in O.C. country. According to the gossip going on at Perezhilton.com, Nicole's new BFF/O.C. star, Mischa Barton is pushin' to see her fellow skinny minnie acting alongside the rest of the So Cal cools. "FOX loves Nicole," says a spy. "Since The O.C. also airs on FOX, Nicole could easily be added to that cast. Nicole is a huge fan of The O.C. and she loves Mischa. She'd love to join that show." OK, so Paris may have gotten a chance to swap spit with Adam Brody when she did her O.C. cameo last season, but if any of this is true, we're pretty sure Nicole will be the first to let Miss P. know she can go ahead and kiss something else. (Here's a hint: it rhymes with "pass".)
