Nomination No-No

We bet you that Katherine Heigl won't win an Emmy this year. Why? She didn't want to be nominated! Confused? Yeah, we were, too.

Past Emmy winners, like Candice Bergen and Bill Cosby, have taken themselves out of the running, but it's usually because they've won a number of times and want to give other actors a shot. Katherine's Best Supporting Actress win last year hardly merits a winning streak. But she has other reasons for excluding herself from the Emmy race. "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention," she tells the Los Angeles Times. "In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials." Ouch! Talk about a major slap in the face to the Grey's Anatomy writers. Maybe it's all part of her plan to stage an exit from the show.

Why do you think Katherine didn't want an Emmy nod? Sound off here!
