The Case of the Fake Birth
Photo: Granitz/WireImage
Last week's false report by Entertainment Tonight that Angelina Jolie gave birth to twin girls has put Angie's law firm into overdrive. In an official notice to media outlets, the firm has warned that a "random impostor" using a fake e-mail address has been posing as Angie's assistant to dole out "fictionalized tips" in "a scam on the media and the public," the New York Daily News reports. A source tells the newspaper that the name of the imposter has been traced and an investigation is underway as to whether the person "actively sought out" the attention of the media or "simply replied" to inquiries from a show producer. Either way, we don't think it matters much -- that person is in deep doo doo!
