Since You've Been Gone...Simon's Not Happy

Everyone loves Kelly Clarkson, right? We mean, she's smart, funny, writes and sings awesome songs...and just happens to have no love for the show that put her on the map -- or at least that's what Simon Cowell is saying. According to Perezhilton.com, the American Idol judge is beyond pissed that Kel won't let any of this season's new contestants sing her songs. "No matter how talented Kelly is, she would not be in the position she's in now without winning this show," he fumes. "I don't like [it that Kelly] walked away from the show and kind of forgot the people who put her where she is today. If she refuses to give songs to be used on the show, it's like saying to every person who voted for you: 'You know what, thank you I'm not interested in you anymore.' That is a big mistake." Make no mistake about it, Simon baby. Kel will still continue to sell a gazillion albums every day because she's good -- not because some William Hung-type is desperate to be the next Clay Aiken. (A fate worse than death.) But it looks like Simon's harsh words finally had some impact: Kelly's peeps announced that they're willing to work with the show.
