Ashlee Simpson is persona non grata on Saturday Night Live. While her dadager Joe Simpson "wanted her to go on SNL" to promote her new album, Bittersweet World, but "they said no," an insider tells Page Six. But it's not because of her 2004 lip-syncing fiasco (and subsequent Irish jig dance) -- it's 'cause Ashlee was "a pain" in the past while performing on SNL and the producers don't want to relive the headache. Counters Ashlee's rep, "We're not doing SNL because they're dark the week we are here in April and there were no other opportunities later in the year."
