Yesterday, we told you that Michelle Trachtenberg was joining the cast of Gossip Girl. But before she crashes S, B, and Little J's worlds, she got to revisit to her days as Dawn on Buffy The Vampire Slayer yesterday when the entire Buffy cast reunited for a panel discussion at the William S. Paley Television Festival.

But don't hold your breath for a new Buffy project. "So many stars would have to align," show creator Joss Whedon said. "But there’s a reason I worked with all these people for so long, they’re enormously talented and clearly from the comic, it’s a story I can’t let go. I think it would be really cool."

The best quote of the panel came from Sarah Michelle Gellar, who reminisced about auditioning for the show's title character: "All my friends felt sorry for me because I was on a midseason replacement on a network no one had heard of on a show based on a movie that wasn't all that."
