Stealing The Show

Did you see Ashton Kutcher's new show Pop Fiction on E! Sunday? SO FUNNY! (We have to say, we fell for the "Avril's preggers" story back in February, but we definitely knew something was fishy with Paris hanging out with a guru.)

What's not so funny is that the idea for the show may have been stolen from Anna Nicole Smith! Apparently, Anna pitched a strikingly similar show (called Celebrities Strike Back) to E! more than three years ago. (Her treatment, or description for the show, was even registered with the Writers Guild in 2004. Click here to read it!) But E! turned down Anna's show, saying it just wouldn't work. Lo and behold, more than three years later, it's on the air. Now, Howard's threatening E! with a lawsuit.

What's more is that Anna's lawyer Howard K. Stern spoke with E! again two months ago on behalf of the estate and the network wanted to make Larry Birkhead (father of Anna's daughter Dannielynn) the first celeb to pull a prank and then host the show. So wrong! We really hope Ashton wasn't in on the show stealing…
