A Date With Oscar
Photo: Granitz/WireImage

We're disappointed that Ellen Page didn't score Best Actress at the Oscars last night! Alas, you can't win 'em all -- screenwriter Diablo Cody did win Best Original Screenplay for Juno, and at Saturday's Film Independent Awards, the movie took home Best Feature, Lead Actress, and First Screenplay. So hey, all wasn't lost!

Jon Stewart did a great job of hosting, poking fun at Vanity Fair's cancellation of their annual bash in support of the screenwriters, considering the fact that barely any screenwriters are ever even invited to the posh soiree! He also joked about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's expanding brood (and Angie's expanding pregnancy bump, which she showed off at the Indie Awards). After introducing a fake award in honor of all the A-listers who are preggers right now (including Cate Blanchett, Jessica Alba, and Nicole Kidman), he said, "The baby goes to ... Angelina Jolie! Obviously Angelina couldn't be with us tonight. It's tough getting 17 babysitters on Oscar night. I accept this baby on her behalf." Hey, Jolie-Pitts -- like we've said before, we're more than happy to watch Maddox and the gang!
