Lots of movie news this morning!

First off, Beyoncé will executive produce and star as Etta James in Cadillac Records, a 1950s period film about Chicago record company Chess Records. She'll also record four songs for the soundtrack, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But the best part is, B will donate a portion of her salary for the film to her family's charity, the Survivor Foundation, which helps recovering addicts. So sweet!

And get ready for some major hotties in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which will be released May 1, 2009. Ryan Reynolds (who we just chatted up for Definitely, Maybe) and Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch will both appear in the X-Men spin-off, Variety reports. Also, will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas will make his acting debut in the movie.
