Lindsay Lohan has always said that she's a big Marilyn Monroe fan (she even purchased an apartment that the late actress owned), and recently she got to put that admiration on display when New York magazine had her re-create Marilyn's legendary final photo shoot. We'd show you the pics here, but they're all completely nakie!

Renowned photographer Bert Stern, who shot the original pics with Marilyn, says he took interest in Lindsay because he suspected "she had a lot more depth to her" than you'd gather from "those teenage movies." Lindsay too says doing the shoot was a given: "I didn't have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It's really an honor." But what about the nudity? "I was comfortable with it," she says, although she did own up to doing "250 crunches" the night before the shoot.

While Lindsay herself can be likened to Marilyn (who the magazine calls the "original tabloid queen"), Lindsay also sees parallels between Marilyn and Heath Ledger: "They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone."

Pot, meet kettle…
