Is Coop Flying the Coop?
Sick of Marissa Cooper's weekly melodrama? Apparently so is O.C. actress, Mischa Barton. The New York Post reports that Miss B is doing everything in her power to get fired from her show so she can focus all her time and energy on a movie career. (FYI: Mischi got her start as the scary ghost under the bed in The Sixth Sense.) "She's flirting with leaving the show. The real problem now is she isn't taking work seriously," says a source for the paper, who also snitches that the SoCal mama has suddenly been "sick" quite a bit and late for rehearsals. While peeps from the show aren't commenting, Mischa was reportedly overheard saying, "I'm going back to film. It could go against me to be in a long-running show." Of course it can -- just look at Felicity's Keri Russell (currently co-starring with Tom Cruise in MI:3) or Dawson's Creek star, Michelle Williams (Oscar nominee and married to hottie, Heath Ledger). Um, we're not exactly sure we're buying that lame excuse -- why not just admit you're sick of all the crappy eppies this season and call it a day?
