Britney Spears is 26 years old, but she's back under Papa Jamie Spears' care -- for now, at least. Jamie won temporary legal control over his eldest daughter on Friday, meaning that he can control her medical care and her residence (which means he can legally remove anyone who is staying there).

But there will be another hearing today in which Britney's attorney will argue for removal of Jamie as conservator (someone who controls a person's personal and financial affairs when they can no longer care for themselves) because Britney doesn't trust him. "It's going to be hard to convince the court that Britney can be taken seriously given the state that she's in," an insider tells Us Weekly. "What child does get along with their parents when they are locked in the psych ward?"

All of this better get ironed out soon though 'cause Britney's officially out of the running to control her own life -- on Friday, her stay at UCLA Medical Center was officially extended by 14 days.
