A Family (and Manager) Affair

Britney's manager, Sam Lufti called the head honcho over at TMZ to bark about a story the site posted about Brit's family thinking he's "poison." He says there was no alleged intervention on Monday and Tuesday, but instead, Britney's family "barged in" on them. That night, Britney's mom was with her at her house, and then the two of them went to a drugstore with Sam in tow. "They have an agenda," he says. "Their agenda is jealously because they don't fit in. I do. They see her three times a year." TMZ reports that the family is staging an intervention, but that Sam just isn't in on the plan. Wonder why!

Britney was nearby during the phone conversation. Of the allegation that Sam forced Britney to buy a new black on black two-seater Mercedes Benz SLK 350 on Tuesday (for which she paid in full, $55,000 cash) Sam says it's BS. "Did I force you to buy a car," he asked her during the phone conversation, to which she responded, "No," in a heavy Southern accent. "Do I ever bug you?" he went on to ask. "We argue," she replied.

And while family sources tell TMZ that Britney's 'rents, Lynne and Jamie, "are on the same page" about Sam (that he's a "megalomaniac" who is motivated by "evil" and a "counterproductive, disquieting force" -- ouch!), Sam claims there's no beef between him and Mama Spears, but that Papa Spears is a bit of a problem.

Hmm, we think this boy's even more delusional than Brit-Brit is!
