Mandy Goes on the Defensive
Aww, quit picking on Mandy Moore already. The squeaky-clean star has been minding her own business, dating Zach Braff, busting her butt to kickstart her movie career, and here comes a bunch of haters dogging her with rehab rumors and talk about who actually took her V-card. US Weekly reports that Miss Mandy recently posted on her personal website, shooting down rumors that she's a druggie and that Wilmer Valderrama is "the man" he claims to be. "I am so overwhelmed by the absurdity of rumors and how on earth they could possibly get started," she complains. "It’s unbelievable! Earlier this week, I was apprised of a wonderful piece of gossip that I was in rehab...nice! As I sit here at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Los Angeles drinking my English Breakfast latte (quite a distance from a supposed Connecticut rehab center I have apparently checked myself into), I am so saddened that people stretch as far as they do in attempting to spread gossip that, at the end of the day, is just downright hurtful." As for Fez, and his little visit to Howard Stern last month, Mandy puts it quite simply: "[It's] utterly tacky, not even true, and it hurt my feelings because I like him." She may no longer be as sweet as candy, but she's certainly classy. (Hey Paris, after your latest Lindsay stunt, you might wanna take some serious notes.)
