Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port are out of a job! No, they're not being kicked off The Hills. According to Women's Wear Daily, Teen Vogue has decided not to renew its partnership with the show, thereby leaving intern Lauren and West Coast fashion editor Whitney jobless.
Sources say that it was the stars' late night partying, never-ending feuds, and steamy make-out sessions that fueled the magazine's decision. "The average age of the magazine's readership is 16 — do they really want to support the behavior depicted [in The Hills]?" the source says. "They also started to see that newsstand sales were flat ... There was no blip on the radar when Lauren and Whitney were involved."
But Lauren and Whitney aren't off the hook when it comes to having a nine-to-five job -- they'll be featured working in some working capacity, just not in their plush jobs at Teen Vogue.
Aww, poor babies!
