Katie Cassidy tried a new role on for size recently -- acting like a different actress! The 20-year-old Supernatural star was riding in a car in that was pulled over by Tuscon, Ariz., cops for a moving violation when cops suspected that she had been drinking, The Smoking Gun reports. The twisted part? She tried to get out of it by pretending she was 23-year-old Taylor Quinn Cole!

According to the police report, Katie appeared drunk -- she slurred her speech, had boozy breath, and was completely clumsy. (Sources say that her BAC was twice the legal limit!) When questioned by cops, she said she didn't have ID on her, but that her name was Taylor Quinn Cole, lived in Vancouver, and was 21. When asked when her birthday was, Katie said, "4-29-84" (Taylor's real birthdate), but an officer quickly corrected her and said that would make her 23. Finally, Katie confessed and said, "OK, OK I lied to you--that wasn't my real name." She said she was untruthful because she was scared. "She said that she is a Hollywood actress and that this would not look good for her," the report says.

Katie's mom wasn't exactly forthcoming either: when the cops called her, she asked "what could be done" since Katie is a "high-profile" actress and that she "didn't have time to come back to court."

Uh, Lindsay Lohan = high profile. Natalie Portman = high profile. Heck, even Haylie Duff = high-ish profile. Kate Cassidy? Not so much.
