The actor was arrested and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing after refusing to leave a Chicago drugstore, the Associated Press reports. A security guard told Shia to leave the store because he appeared to be drunk, but Shia refused. At 2:30 AM, the security guard detained him and called the police. But leave it to this former Disney boy to be well mannered even while in custody! Police say that Shia was "very courteous and polite" and that he posted bond before 7 AM. Shia must appear in court on November 28 in response to the charges.
