A Hero for a Porpoise (Sorry)

Hayden Panettiere is truly a hero. She recently headed to Japan to protest the mass killing of dolphins. Japanese fishermen kill around 23,000 of the sea creatures per year and one coalition, Save Japan Dolphins, is trying to stop that. Heading out on surfboards, the group (including Hayden) tried to reach a pod of the friendly Fippers before they were brought in to be killed. The fishermen intercepted the surfers, yelling at them and pushing them away. The team was unsuccessful and Hayden was visibly upset: "One little baby dolphin stuck his head out and kind of looked at me, and the thought that it's no longer with us is really difficult to take," she said. So sad, but we’re glad someone saved the cheerleader 'cause she’s clearly trying to save the world.
