Here's a Hollywood couple we would have never pictured: Madonna and Tupac Shakur! But according to Lucy O'Brien, author of new book Madonna: Like an Icon, the two mega-musicians were indeed an item! Madge "desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men" during her mid-30s, the book reports. (Unlikely is right!) "She was going out with him [a year before he died]," explains Madge's pal, Alison Clarkson. "But homegirls were saying to him, 'I can't believe you're going out with a white girl.'" So 2Pac yielded to the pressure and dumped her.

Wow, imagine the musical powerhouse their kids would have been!
