Over a six month period, Forbes magazine studied the newsstand sales of the six leading celebrity weeklies (People, Star, US Weekly, In Touch Weekly, Life & Style and OK!) to see which celeb sold more magazines when he or she was the cover subject. (They also added in factors like consumer appeal and number of full covers, and didn't count collages or special issues.) Jen scored the top spot, followed by Brad Pitt, Scarlett Johannson, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Valerie Bertinelli (tied), and Kelly Ripa.
In last place when it comes to sales? Shockingly, it's Britney Spears! While Brit-Brit is the most popular cover-subject choice, but her face on a tabloid mag cover caused for tabloids to sell about 600,000 issues below average. Hmm, here's an idea -- stop covering Brit's every movement!
