In a lame attempt at publicity, Paris Hilton has announced that she's going to Rwanda this fall. (Fine, we took the bait, but it's just too funny!) "I'll be going in November, after I get back from filming my movie," she tells E! Online. "There's so much need in that area, and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to help." It's all a part of Paris' post-jail plan to be a more active citizen and humanitarian. Riiiiight…
But that's not all, Paris says! "I want to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a big concern," she says. "I know there's a lot of good I can do just by getting involved and bringing attention to these issues." She also says that she intends to make her new Beverly Hills more "green friendly." Well, if there's one thing we can say about Paris, it's that she's great with for sound bites. When it comes to follow-through, let's just say we need to see it to believe it. (Remember her pledge to stop partying when she got out of jail? That lasted, oh, 37 seconds.)
