Compared to mega-songstress Mariah Carey, Vanessa Carlton be not somebody. But that didn't stop the "Nolita Fairytale" singer from being a total beeyatch during Mimi's acceptance speech at a Save the Music benefit on Thursday. Vanessa was "overheard cackling, rolling her eyes and making nasty comments" while Mimi spoke, Page Six reports. Someone better remind her that just 'cause she's working with music mogul Irv Gotti, doesn't mean she's in the same star galaxy as Mariah!

She also spent time reminding other partygoers, "I have more than one song." (Sweetie, if you need to remind people that you're famous, you're probably not as hot as you think you are.) But Vanessa took major offense when a reporter mistook one of Avril Lavigne's music video as one of Vanessa's. Hey, take it as a compliment -- if Avril's getting more recognition than Vanessa, she must be doing something right.
