Good Morning, Nicole

Sorry for the lack of gossip yesterday everyone -- we were too shocked over Nicole Richie's pregnancy announcement that we were beside ourselves. (OK, that's not true -- we knew she's been preggers for over a month.)

But seriously, let's talk about Nic's stint on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer. We've proud of how she's handling her rather dangerous DUI, as well as her impending jail sentence.

Nic acknowledges that she's "incredibly lucky" not to have killed anyone (you can say that again!). In fact, Nic sounded way more remorseful than Paris did during her chat with Larry King: "I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would. And unfortunately I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult," she says. Maybe the pregnancy has given Nicole the motivation to grow up. "I owe the baby my life," she says.

As for BF, Joel Madden, he says that he almost dumped Nicole when her DUI went down. (If you recall, she was driving to his house when the incident happened.) But good thing he stood by his woman -- he's gonna be a Daddy!

We're liking this couple more and more as the days go on…

You Say!
