The gods were smiling on Nicole Richie this morning: her DUI court case is being delayed a month. Nicole's lawyer asked for an extension because their key witness, who will challenge the results of Nic's drug test, is on vacay, TMZ reports.

Nicole's new due date (in court, that is) will be August 16.
