When asked by Fox News about daughter Nicole's recent legal troubles, the R&B star said it aint' no thang. "She keeps apologizing to me. I told her 'You're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing to your father at this age,'" he said. (Um, we don't know if you're "supposed" to get two DUIs, but we think we get what he means.)

Instead of blaming Nic for her troubles, Lionel pointed his finger at the media. "There's just so much information out there right now -- MySpace, cell phones, the Internet," he said. "If we had had all that when [my band,] the Commodores were around, God only knows what my mother and father would have seen." Obviously! Where do you think Nicole learned to party "All Night Long"?!
