There are a million things you could applaud Oprah for, but today, we're praising her healthfulness: she was dubbed the "Queen of Healthy Living" by Lime.com, meaning 47 percent of the health site's readers say that O makes them reconsider their views on the importance of living a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.
You may only think of Tina Fey as the teacher from Mean Girls, but in the history of television, she's a whole lot more: she was Saturday Night Live's first female head writer. How's that for breaking into the men's club?
After the Dixie Chicks' lead vocalist Natalie Maines publicly criticized President George W. Bush at a London concert, many people (including much of the country music scene) turned on them. But even though they faced death threats and the possibility of ending their music career, the Chicks maintained their right to freedom of speech. And no matter your politics, that's something you've gotta respect.
Drew Barrymore makes us laugh in almost every movie she's in, but the veteran actress isn't all fun and games. She helps raise money for various charities, including the ASPCA and the United Nations World Food Program (which offers meals in Kenyan public schools). Pretty impressive, huh?
And while Angelina Jolie may be getting a lot of flack these days, whether you love her or hate her, one fact remains -- this Oscar-winning actress has brought a lot of awareness to third-world countries. She takes her job as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees very seriously: she's traveled to remote refugee camps including Tanzania, Namibia, Cambodia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Ecuador. And when she's there, she's not Angelina Jolie, superstar -- she's just someone there to help.
