Jay-Z's Big Pimpin' Himself

Now that Jay-Z is totally over Cristal, the hip-hop mogul is on to an equally-as-bubbly beverage to back: Cherry Coke. Trade magazine, Brand Week reports that Jay's Rocawear company will assist Coca-Cola in their third relaunch of the beverage. "It's his new opportunity to expand his standing in the business world," Jameel Spencer, Rocawear's CMO, told Brand Week. "Besides just recording, he's making TV commercials and campaigns for brands…who is better than Coke? They're the biggest...His role is helping brands not get it wrong the way McDonald's did with African Americans rapping about French fries...There's a reassurance that they won't appear like an out-of-touch uncle trying to act cool."

Wait, isn't Beyoncé a Pepsi spokeswoman? Uh-oh, we smell a rivalry a-brewin'…
