You don't hear much about Brandy these days, but this isn't really the kind of publicity you want: the R&B singer/Moesha star seems to be at fault for a fatal car accident on Dec. 30, 2006, TMZ reports. According to police sources, Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph down a Los Angeles freeway at 10:30 a.m. when didn't realize that the cars in front of her had slowed their speed. Her car crashed into a 2005 Toyota, which hit a 1989 Toyota and then slid sideways and hit the center divider. When the 2005 Toyota stopped, it was hit by a 1988 Acura. The driver of the 2005 Toyota was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and died on Dec. 31. (Brandy was not injured, and the driver of the Acura only suffered moderate injuries.)

Brandy was not arrested as a result of the accident. Police don't have any evidence showing drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, and they're investigating whether any of the cars involved in the accident had malfunctioned.
