PETA's Worst Dressed List
Nicole Richie may have recently made amends with off-again/on-again BFF, Paris Hilton, but she's also made a new enemy this year: PETA. The animal rights group has named Nicole the world's worst dressed celeb (and they're not talking about mixing plaids and polka dots). "This pelt-wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones," PETA says. "She’s an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match." Ouch. Ashley Olsen was named this year's runner-up. "Wearing fur does add 20 pounds," PETA notes about the skinny starlet, "but if Ashley wants to fill out her frame, we suggest using a fork instead." While Christina Ricci hasn't starred in anything big lately, she hasn't slipped under PETA's radar. "Disregarding the holiday season’s 'Peace on Earth' message, Ricci recently posed for a magazine cover wearing fur from slaughtered reindeer," PETA says. "At least she’s not into fur hats: Imagine how many more pelts it would take to cover that forehead." Rounding out the fur-roucious group is Eva Longoria, about which PETA notes, "You’d think she’d be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way she screws around like one on Wisteria Lane." Notably missing from the list is Paris, who earned top (or bottom, depending how you look at it) honors last year. According to a PETA-related site, the heiress stopped wearing fur after watching a video about the Chinese fur trade and learning that animals are skinned alive in China for their fur. Now, that's one video she should pass around!
