Pledging Without Paris
Back when Paris and Nicole weren't friends, each girl made a movie in their attempts to outdo her former BFF (thereby forcing the rest of the world suffer for the deterioration of their friendship). From Nicole, we got Kids in America; from Paris, we got House of Wax and the upcoming National Lampoon's Pledge This!, which was actually filmed before House of Wax. But it seems that Paris doesn't think her newest movie is all that hot. In fact, she's doing everything in her power to distance herself from the flick, according to Page Six. "The premiere was supposed to have been on Oct. 11 in Chicago, but Paris called at the last minute and canceled, claiming she had to promote her album," a source says. "The producers didn't want to have the premiere without her because she's the biggest star in the movie, which also features Simon Rex and Randy Spelling, so they rescheduled for Oct. 28." Instead of making up another ridiculous lie (let's all remember that Paris' album came out in August), Paris has flat-out refused to attend this premiere as well, the Page Six spy reports. (For their part, Paris' PR flacks say, "She will appear at this premiere.") "The movie is horrific," the source says. "It is a limited release that will likely go straight to video. Paris doesn't really want to be associated with it. Her movie career is not exactly booming, and she needs to not be seen as a flop. Also, the movie has a lot of topless women in it, and she is trying to distance herself from the whole porn thing." Something that's so bad that Paris is too embarrassed to be associated with it? If only she felt the same way about Brandon Davis…
