When Your Arm Starts Breaking
Our well wishes go out to Travis Barker, who broke his right arm while filming the video for new band, +44's title track, "When Your Heart Stops Beating." "I had the worst pain in my arm the day after we filmed out video and I really thought nothing of it. We played for 8 hours like I usually do, but I guess this time was different," Travis writes in his MySpace blog. "I then played our entire European leg of our promo tour in the worst pain I've experienced ever." When Travis finally saw a doctor, he found out that he had been playing drums with a broken arm for three weeks and that he could possibly have a tumor in his arm. "I'm at a loss of words," Travis writes. "I never thought I'd break a bone from playing drums too hard/too long." (At least it wasn't broken because of getting beat up by ex, Shanna Moakler, a la Paris Hilton.) Travis' vegetarianism could have exacerbated the problem, too, so he's been told to change his diet to strengthen his bones. Doctors have also told Travis to remain off his arm for eight weeks, which means he won't be playing any of the band's scheduled shows. (He also missed a show this past Saturday with DJ AM at Pure in Las Vegas.) But Travis is being a trooper and trying to learn the set with one arm. "Don't count me out yet," he writes. We won't!
