Summer's End
We thought that if any Hollywood couple had a chance of making it, it would be Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody. But alas, the couple might be going from Newport Beach, Calif. to Splitsville, USA. While the onscreen/offscreen couple "looked like they were on their way to getting engaged just a while back," a source tells Star magazine, they're "going through a really difficult period right now." Three reasons are rumored to be the causes of their alleged separation. First off, Rachel's getting super famous, not only for her acting, but also for her impeccable style. Rachel may also not be ready for marriage. Still, the main factor in their fighting could be Zach Braff, Rachel's co-star in The Last Kiss. "Zach calls Rachel a lot and they talk on the phone like girlfriends," the source says. "But what really eats away at Adam is when Rachel starts talking about how mature Zach is. No guy appreciates his girlfriend comparing him to another guy." (Wait, this kinda reminds us of when Summer flipped about Seth and Anna hanging out on The O.C..) "Adam and Rachel were already having some problems, and Zach is a distraction Rachel doesn't need right now," another insider says. (Huh, come to think of it -- that's kinda like the basis of The Last Kiss! Can't these guys get an original storyline of their own?) Sounds like if Rachel doesn't shape up, we'll likely see a Summer-Seth split on The O.C.. Could this be the return of Anna Banana? Tune in to find out…
