Jess Denies a Public Affair

Instead of leaving it up to the tabs to decide who she's dating, Jessica Simpson dropped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday to dispel all the rumors that are floating around about her these days -- especially since she fired her publicist. (Lord knows she needs some damage control after the whole John Mayer debacle.) Between discussing the effects of drinking Diet Coke ("I think it gives you cellulite," she says "It clogs those pores.") to admitting that she had Restalyne lip fillers ("I looked like a blowfish! I looked so goofy," she said. "I prayed every night, 'Please let them go down!'"), Jess got down to the not-so dirty deets about her rumored romances. As for John Mayer, she said, "He's a very great guy -- just friends. He's a great guy. Trust me, if I went on a date you would know. The entire world would know. I can't go anywhere." She also denied having flings with Jude Law and her Employee of the Month co-star, Dane Cook, adding that she's "lonely." Boo hoo!
