How did you hook up with Pete Wentz's label, Decaydance?
I've known Pete for a long time. Pete used to come when we used to play at this bowling alley in Chicago. All these punk bands would play. I was already signed to Columbia with Midtown before, so I was just trying to get out of my Midtown deal. I always knew I just wanted to go to Decaydance -- it's a really great label. I've known all those dudes for years -- it was just a question of getting logistics right.

How do you know Travis from Gym Class Heroes? He freakin' rocks!
I've known Travis for a while. Midtown toured with The Academy Is… on one of their first tours ever. It was us, Fall Out Boy, The Academy is, and Gym Class Heroes. We had a lot of time to hang out, [and] we all stayed close.

And now you're touring with 30 Seconds to Mars, which reminds me -- Jared Leto hates bloggers. What's your take on 'em?
Blogging's awesome. The Internet is amazing because people can talk back and forth. I always believe in "the pen is mightier than the sword," but once in a while, kids give their opinions without hearing anything. [When Cobra Starship first came out,] there were some supporters and some smack talkers. So I went online and talked smack right back to them. I made them look so stupid! One of the guys who worked [at one website] got all freaked out because he didn’t think that I would actually read it. It was a really funny exchange. I was like, if you keep talking smack, I'll keep smacking it down. People can just talk smack as much as they want. Part of being a public guy is people will talk smack about you, so you need to be able to talk smack back to people. If you get mad and start trying to fight someone, you're just giving 'em more fuel -- although sometimes you just have to kick some butt, which I'm not against either.
