Do you believe in aliens, or just talking snakes?
I don’t really think it's a scientific thing. There has to be life on the other planets. I don’t really say I believe in this and I don’t believe in that, but it's what I have a sense of. I don’t pray to aliens or anything like that. From a rational point of view, it seems like there should be aliens. I definitely think that time travel is possible -- that's how the snake got back to me from the future.

If you could travel back in time, what time period would you go to?
If I could get back in time in my life, I would go back to when I had just moved into America and was lived in Queens. I used to go to the roller-skating rink every day, and they had freestyle music. I guess those places don't exist anymore, but they're amazing. And if I could go back to any period in time, I would hang with Abe Lincoln. I'd try to help him not get shot, like, "Yo, this dude's gonna shoot you." Plus, I think Lincoln is taller than me so we could play some ball.

You recorded the first Cobra Starship album solo, but you have other band members now. Do you prefer being in a band with a bunch of people or being just your own band?
When I started Starship, I wanted it to be a band. But it became difficult, so I just kind of did it myself. I did what I had to do. I'm the kind of person that will do what I have to do to get whatever I need to get done. [The guys I'm playing with now] are on the same page right now with what's going on; I think we're all looking forward to writing a record together. I think the next record will be a full band record.
