Hey Alloy! I've been having an incredible time on tour and can't wait to tell you guys about it. Since my last blog, there have definitely been some awesome highlights. We played in New York City, which was amazing, and I absolutely loved spending a few days in Manhattan. Someday, I'd love to live in SoHo.
I spent the first day stopping for meet-and-greets at a few of my favorite fashion magazines, and I also got to connect with the wonderful people from Benefit Cosmetics for a promotion we're doing together. They have some amazing stuff.
The show was so much fun, and I got to see so many familiar faces and friends from the city. We sold out the Highline Ballroom, and the show was so high energy! Over the weekend, we hit South Hackensack and Westchester, where I did some awesome vintage shopping at a place called Malena's. Her store is amazing. She actually has a website too, malenasboutique.com, so you guys should check it out for some great finds!
The next day took us to Baltimore for the eve of my album release! We celebrated on Monday, May 18th in Nashville at the Hard Rock Café with some contest winners and watched the finale of Season 6 of One Tree Hill, which aired that night. Afterward, my band and I played a few songs and we did a meet-and-greet. So much fun. It was such a great way to release the album.
We played another show in Nashville the next night, and we spent the rest of the week heading farther south. Atlanta was a really fun show with an incredible crowd, and it was great to be back onstage in Orlando, FL. We had a few days off for the holiday weekend here in Florida, so I got to see some family and hang at the beach! The band and I rented some jet skis and got a little sun in Ft. Lauderdale for a few days, and it was great to have a little break. Tomorrow, we head to New Orleans, which is one of my absolute favorite cities to play. Can't wait to be back at the House of Blues!
Remember, there are still a bunch of dates left on our tour, so come out if you're anywhere between New Orleans and Vancouver 'cause we'll be heading your way!
That's all for now guys, more soon!
- Kate
