We had a much needed day off from touring in the great country of Texas, and once we parked our bus, we knew it was gonna be a sick day! We noticed we were about 20 yards from a traveling carnival in Midland/Odessa, which is the home of the movie Friday Night Lights. They had some amazing looking rides!

First, we got to shop at a great mall in the area, feeling as if we were back in middle school and mom had dropped us off to meet our first love and her friend. After we shopped, it was time for the carnival. We did the smallest roller coaster and still we all nearly puked.

Then, we spotted a game where you try to throw a ping pong ball in one of 100 floating plastic bowls without it ricocheting out. The guy said he has never seen someone win a bird during the day in his whole experience of working there. Well, I (Jonathan) won!

He tried to let me pick out the bird then take it in a small paper sack. "No, sir," I kindly yelled, and bought a cage from him for $350! I think I got ripped off. I just won the grand prize and it cost me $350 to take it home!

Oh, well. This was a great day in Texas, which is priceless. We kept the bird on the bus for a day and then left it at Jonathan's house on our way through our hometown. Ballin! What a day!
