Crunch Time

Hello all.
It's Maika here updating you wonderful and hopefully curious people out there, thanks to Alloy. We've been enjoying ourselves out here playing to the northeast so far on the Secret Valentine Tour with We The Kings, The Maine, The Cab, and Versa Emerge. Florida's really reppin' it on this one 'cause WTK, Versa, and us are all from the Sunshine State. It's been a different experience because we're so used to being the baby band among the other bands on tours, but that's not this case on this one. The average age of everybody in the bands is just about where we're at. It's a great feeling to be a part of a bunch of other young people who share similar dreams. It's only the beginning, so check out those dates on our MySpace and show some face!

It's such a crucial time for us when it comes to finishing our full-length album because it's still a work in progress. Hearing all the songs collectively come together has given me a new fire and inspiration to keep my head in the game. Every time I hear any of the 12 songs, I hear a piece of me. They are my children, and I love every single song equally, but in different ways. Expect a wide range of emotions and vibes on the album because we finally have a chance to show all of our sides, including both strengths and weaknesses. There is something on the album for everyone. I hope people of all backgrounds and conditions can find solace and relation in what we do. I actually stayed back in Orlando to finish as much as I could, tracking-wise, before we began this tour. I flew up to Vermont and the guys picked me up from the airport. I definitely could have done without all the alone time spent in the airports and waking up at 3:45, but playing all these shows is worth it for sure.

Stay updated. We love you. Keep it true. Realness.
