Hey everybody!
This is my third week with you all, and it was a pretty interesting one that finished up with the Academy Awards, which were a bit different then most of the past shows. It was set up in a much more intimate way than in the past, which I really enjoyed! I guess I'm kind of obsessed with movies and films so watching the awards for me is a given! I enjoy all of it -- the music, sound, directors, costumes and obviously, the actors. That brings me to the best leading actor...
All I can say is I was really disappointed that Mickey Rourke did not win for The Wrestler. I thought his performance was great! I also loved Evan Rachel Wood and their relationship. I'll just be happy that he won at all the other award shows. So I guess it all works out in the end. I love that he loves his dogs so much since I really love all of mine! I think they really are man's or girl's best friend! Oh, don't get me wrong, I really like Sean Penn, as well, and I especially loved his performance in I Am Sam a few years ago. I think he should have been nominated for that performance, but they just overlooked him. I guess I am a sucker for the underdog and the comeback kind of story, which is why I was rooting for Mickey. My dad has turned me on to some of his earlier films which are awesome! He's such a great actor and it's good to see him doing well again.
Oh well, besides the end of my week watching the Oscars, it was REALLY GREAT getting back to work and seeing everyone on Secret Life. I don't think any of us had more fun being on break. We like doing the show tooooooooo much! Daren [Kagasoff] and I were saying to each other "Geez, I couldn't wait to just get back to the studio and work." It was funny because we were both saying the same thing to each other almost at the same time while we were eating lunch and comparing our holidays. My first scene back was with Shailene and Molly. It's really crazy seeing Molly and the new twins that will be arriving in the summer. Molly looks great, and the babies are doing fine! Right now, as I write this, I'm getting ready to do some homework and then make some pasta for me, my mom, and my dad. They seem to think I make it well and I have to say I do! When my mom was doing a film in Rome we had the best pasta ever! One of her great friends, director Franco Zeffirelli (Romeo & Juliet) taught my mom how to make pasta and she taught me, so I had a good teacher who also likes to eat pasta! So, on that note, I think I will get my pots and pans ready and get to my other favorite work... cooking and eating!
Have a great week! Thanks for checking in with me!
Love, India
P.S. - Guess my homework will have to wait... Don't tell anyone! Thanks and BYE for now.
Love again, "I"
