Welcome to my first ever "blog"! It's really cool to have been asked to do one, and although I keep pretty much to myself most of the time, I think it might be fun to share a little of my day to day happenings or not happenings on and off the set of Secret Life…
Anyway, while I'm writing this, it is raining here in "sunny" L.A., which has been a rare occurrence up until a couple of days ago. That's OK with me, as I'm one of those people that love the rain and the cold weather. (Editor's note: we knew that from our recent interview with India!) I guess I get that from my mom, who is from England, and we all know it rains more than a little there! My days lately have been a little slow as I'm just waiting to go back to work on the show. We have had a little time off from shooting, which everybody looks forward to until we're off. Then we all end up texting or calling each other wondering what everyone is doing! We are kind of like a big family in that way. I recently have been texting Megan (Grace), Allen (Henry), Darren (Ricky), and Francia (Adrian) from the show, and they too are itching to get back to work. My dad actually saw Mark (my dad on the show) the other day because they ride their motorcycles together on some weekends when it's not raining -- although Mark would ride even if there was a typhoon going on! It's kind of cool to have two cool dads! HA HA!
Just the other day my mom, dad, and I were checking out this animal rescue place in Pasadena, California looking for another white Boxer. As you may or may not know from other interviews, we have five dogs, three potbelly pigs, a cat, a parrot, and a bunny! We used to have 10 dogs and one of them was a white boxer named Bulls Eye. He looked like Petey in The Little Rascals. He was my mom's true love and he died a while back, so we tried to adopt this other one, but we were just a bit late and some other family got him. They better be nice people!!
Anyway, while we were out there we found this really cool video store that has all these really obscure old movies. I was in heaven, as one of my passions is watching and collecting great old movies. We bought a bunch of them!! I also checked out this cool makeup shop that was right next store. I'm always looking for different makeup as I have really sensitive skin and I have to be careful what I use, especially on the show. I drive our makeup man Kevin crazy as I'm always coming in the morning saying, "Hey Kevin, I found some new stuff that's even better!" He just says, "India, if you ever want another job you could just become a makeup artist. You know about ALL the makeup ever made!" I'll think about it Kev, but right now I'll stick to my acting job!
Well, guys, I have to go take care of my little dog Ollie right now and walk her in the rain, then wipe off her muddy little feet. I got her on my birthday a couple of years ago. She is one loony dog, but I love her! Thanks for checking in with me, and I will have some more news next week!
Take good care!
Love, India
