Even if you don’t plan to smooch your crush on NYE, you’ll still want to have perfectly prepped lips. Winter is a tough time to keep your smacker soft and smooth, but here are a few tips to get them pretty by the end of the year.

* Always keep you lips moisturized. Use a balm or even extra face moisturizer to keep them soft.
* If they get flaky in the cold weather, brush them gently with a toothbrush to remove the excess skin.
* Before you apply lipstick or a pretty gloss, use a balm or cream on your lips. Let your pucker soak it up while you do the rest of your make-up -- then add the color.
