Before the clock strikes 12, here’s a list of must-do’s before you ring in the New Year! Countdown to 2008 with a new tip everyday on Alloy!

OK, we know it’s nearly impossible not to talk behind people’s backs. Smack talk is just too easy (and pretty fun), so we’re not saying you have to keep your lips zipped at all times. Even we can’t completely quit. However, it’s time to start cutting back. Try to not begin every sentence with, "Have you heard…" for starters. You’ll realize you and your friends have more to talk about than just the latest hookup rumor.
