Hey guys!
A lot of fun stuff has happened in the past week! Saturday was my schools semi-formal. Usually only the freshman and sophomores go with their dates. The tradition for the seniors is to show up "dressed to the nines" in crazy clothes and wacky make up; but most importantly, dateless!
However, there were the few seniors who couldn't get away from their boyfriends for a minute, and brought them along. Booo. It was fun in the long run though because we all just danced and acted crazy the whole time. It was really cool for our whole grade to get together (outside of our uniforms) and do something fun.
Prior to the festivities, my friend Mary came over (and with the supervision of my dad) we took a mini road trip so I could get another ear piercing! I got my tragus pierced. For those who don't know what that is, you might want to Google it because I don't know how to explain it really, haha. (It's like that middle part of you ear that's attached to your face…haha. OK, just Google it.)
I was soooo nervous before and almost backed out. The lady reassured me that I'd feel better when it was over because the pain is only temporary. I had to lay down so she could get the right angle to pierce, meanwhile Mary was standing above me holding my hand…and videotaping. To my surprise it didn't hurt all that bad, but I definitely felt it! Also, the video turned out pretty funny and everyone at semi enjoyed watching it!
Now that semi is over, PROM (!!!!) is just around the corner! As if we don't have enough senior stress already! I'm still counting down the days until we graduate, (it's 48 for me in case you were wondering), AND I'm also pretty anxiously to get my college letters. The anticipation is killing me! I'm sure I'll get in somewhere, right? Even if it's not my first choice, I'll be happy with where I go. You only get out of it, what you put into it -- remember that! Go into college with a good attitude and you'll have a great time, but go in with a bad attitude and you'll be extremely disappointed.
Good luck with everything!
