Holiday Break Coutdown

Hey everyone!

Woo it's almost holiday break! CANNOT WAIT…no seriously, I'm counting the hours. It better snow! I’ve been waiting to go skiing and snowboarding and sledding and…well, I have a whole list. In other news, juggling hockey and school is definitely getting tougher -- they are both a huuuge commitment. I have no legit time after school to fool around because I have to go to bed around 10 to be alive for hockey the next morning!

As we speak, I'm writing a huge essay for my communications class. It's a persuasive essay that we have to recite to the class. Mine is called "Animals in Circuses Should Be Banned." I'm such a huge animal lover (see my pic!), and the behind the scenes action of the circuses is not too cool.

Anyway, my friends and I have been figuring out how far away all the colleges that we want to go to are. My best friend’s #1 choice is only about an hour and a half away from my first choice. Honestly, it doesn't really matter how far away her college is, I plan on making the trip often! Plus, there are plenty of trains that go from college to college, which makes visiting people that much easier. My sister sees all her friends at different schools throughout the entire year.

Don't stress if your best friends are going to colleges wicked far away, there are always holiday breaks, (REMINDER: THERE IS ONE COMING UP! Hahaha, sorry I'm really excited!), as well as telephones and IM! You and your friends will never be cut off from each other, unless they go to some college in the desert or something. Another tip: Don't go to college in the desert. LOL.

I guarantee you will be staying the weekend at your friend’s colleges all the time. One of my friends even said I need to have a permanent bed set up for him…umm, pretty sure he won't be visiting that often. Haha.

P.S -- If you have yet to get your apps in, this upcoming break is the perfect time to do it. Between watching Charlie Brown Christmas and visiting with relatives, you can def get them in. Deadlines are coming up!! Also, you should probably start reviewing for midterms (if your school has them) over break, ugh. Somehow I always forget that when I get back to school, I have to take test on everything I've learned so far this year!

Also, try planning some kind of end-of-the-year senior trip! My sister and her friends all went to Disney, and I think my friends and I are going to the beach for a week. It'll be nice to reunite with everyone for more than a night or two.

All right, well, I have to get back to my essay -- have a good vacation and tell me what your plans are below!
