Hey!

So hockey season has officially started, and it's hardcore. Practice is every single day and we even have a new assistant coach. He's wicked tough and kinda mean so we call him Sarge (like Sergeant!). I accidentally called him Sarge to his face. Yeah, that was really awkward. It’s going to be a longgg season of 6:30 a.m. practices!

Here’s some good news…a lot of my friends are hearing back form colleges! One got in and won a $12,000 scholarship! Our teachers update us everyday about who got into which colleges in our classes -- it’s really cool to hear where everyone is getting into.

The stress level has definitely gone down now that I am done applying and such. In the back of my mind though, I’m still freaking out about not getting into colleges. All I really hope is that my friends and I go to colleges in the same area -- I can’t live without them! It’s going to be really weird having to make new best friends, when you have kept the same ones for over six years! I guess it is just part of the whole college experience.

When one of my best friends and I go off to college, we are giving each other a scrap book with pictures from when we first were friends. I have been working on it since the summer! Tip! It’s really cute to start thinking of good presents to give your friends before they leave -- presents that they will be able to look at college when they are missing you!

All my friends are starting to realize that we’ll be separated soon. My friend and I were in her car and a song came on called, "Remember Me," and we both just started to cry! Ugh, this is one of the hardest parts of senior year -- knowing that it can’t possibly last.

So, I REALLY can’t wait for Christmas vacation -- we all need a break. I have been getting ridiculous amounts of homework, term papers and tests just about every day. Does the workload EVER end?? I just try to remember that I’m not the only one going through all of this. Everyone that’s 17 and 18 across the nation is freaking out just as much as we all are!
