Devin goes major sportsfan on us this week. Check her trip to BC!

Hey everyone!

Sorry but I only have time for a sorta short bloggie today! This past weekend was really fun. I stayed at my sister's Boston College dorm – so cool. She lives in an "8-man", which means that she rooms with 7 other girls. It's great, because they all get along really well.

We went to a BC hockey game, which always gets pretty intense. All the students sit in the same section and wear their Superfan shirts, so it’s just a mass of gold. Their band is amazing and they all chant along together. They tend to scream "WE ARE BC" -- pretty funny. After the game, we went back to my sisters' dorm and I met all her roommates. They were super nice, and we all watched the BC football game together. Sooo in case you haven't caught on, sports are REALLY big in college!

Big surprise for me…the food was really good there. I always figured that college food would be as bad as high school food, but that wasn’t the case at all! The food is better in college, and the boys are def cuter! Another surprise? Everyone in college goes out much later, I'm talking like midnight! Soo be prepared to go to bed really late, and sleep in forever!

Ok, back to applications. I got intense work done on my apps. Once you get going, it's so easy to get a ton done. I had to print out envelopes with the addresses of the schools I'm applying to, and give them to my teachers who are writing my recommendations. I also had to write a letter to my guidance counselor basically chatting about my hobbies and my personality, etc.

Speaking of guidance, it's a good idea to make tons of appointments with the counselors -- they are there to help! I made one this week actually, because I am paranoid about my transcript. I wanted to make sure that they had everything down! The counselors have tons of great advice and college tips that they have picked up over the years, so make time to sit down with them.

Drum roll please! I officially picked the final schools that I'm applying to. There are seven of them! Some people I know are applying to 14+ schools. (PS -- I do not recommend that. A good number is definitely between 5 and 8 schools. Remember: you have to pay about 50 bucks for each one you apply to!)

As the application deadlines grow closer, I'm getting more and more stressed! A spa day is a must soon! Haha. Ok, well I have to go to hockey practice, then get up early and visit Fairfield University in the morning! Get those applications done girls and leave me a note below!

Happy Thanksgiving!
