Devil Costumes and SATS...spooky!

Hey everyone!

FSooo Halloween was last week -- one of my fave holidays! I obviously had to be the devil, mainly ‘cause I go to a Catholic school! Hehe. So I wore a red shirt and red knee socks, along with my devil horns! Ironically, my best friend was an angel, so that was pretty funny. My other friend Mary was "Lumber Jane," but I think she just wanted an excuse to wear a furry hat to school. My friend Jackie was a power ranger -- it was so crazy because she was wearing a costume from when she was about 4 years old. By far the funniest thing that happened was that my algebra teacher tried on my friend Caroline's mullet wig. Haha!

After school, I hung out at my house, passing out candy to kids. Then I went around town with my friend Shannon, got jacked up on too many red bulls, and played some harmless pranks! ;) All in all, it was a pretty fun night. I can't wait until Halloween at college though -- everyone gets way more into dressing up.

OK, scarier than Halloween? Last Saturday I took the SATS! Dun dun dunnn. Haha, j/k, they were not that bad. But it was tricky staying focused for three and a half hours! The whole thing goes pretty fast though, since each section is grouped into 20/25 minute periods. The best is that some kids forgot how to write in cursive, and had to have to have the proctor show them how. I just couldn't help but laugh.

SAT Tips! When you have to take a huge test like the SATS, get a ton of sleep the night before! I literally went to bed at 10 p.m., and refused to pick up any phone calls. Also, eat breakfast and pack extra batteries! My ultimate fear is having my calculator die during the SATs, so I brought a 10 pack just in case. For the essay on the SAT, try to tie it into a movie, a book, and a personal experience. Doing those three things will hopefully get you some serious points.

That was my last official time taking the SATs -- I think I did pretty well. On top of all that, report cards came, too! Could this week get any more stressful?? Thankfully, I have some down time ahead. This weekend is our senior retreat. I'll tell you all about it next time!!
