Should Chris Brown Still Be a KCA Nominee?
Last week Chris Brown was charged with a felony for assaulting his long time girlfriend, Rihanna. But on March 28, Chris will be the center of attention for a totally different reason. He was up for Best Male Singer for "Kiss Kiss" at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. But in light of recent events, thousands of viewers sent in petitions to have Chris Brown withdrawn from the category, and after much speculation, the singer decided to step down.
"Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated," Chris' camp said in the statement. Nickelodeon had no plans of withdrawing his nomination but said they "respected his decision."
