Should Schools Force You To Bring A Date?

An all-girl school in Staten Island is forcing girls to find dates for the prom. What happens if they don't? They can't attend.

The interim principal of St. Peter's Girl High School announced that girls without dates could not attend their junior prom. When approached for a reason, she would not comment.

Andrea Stuart, a local high school student says, "I think that's really ridiculous. If the date you're bringing is not your boyfriend, then it's just a lot of expenses for no reason." Another student, Briann Schell says, "That's unfair because some people because some people don't want to come with guys. They want to come with their friends just to have fun."
